For the painting, I wanted to keep it simple. I drybrushed them with some old Games Workshop Boltgun Metal, Tin Bitz, and Mithril Silver. I used a fairly heavy hand with the drybrushing, getting lighter with each color.
I picked out the eyes on the models with different colors.
The two in the back left and the biohazard bot in the front right had their eyes and the biohazard symbol basecoated with Ceramcoat Brown Velvet craft paint. Then I highlighted them with Reaper Master Series Fire Red, a mix of the Fire Red and Citadel Sunburst Yellow, Sunburst Yellow, and then white.
The two in the back right were also basecoated with Brown Velvet. They were then highlighted with Games Workshop Desert Yellow, Sunburst Yellow, and white.
The one in the front left had its eyes basecoated with Citadel Dark Angels Green. The highlights are Games Workshop Goblin Green and Scorpion Green. The final highlight is tiny dots of white in the corners of the eyes.
The media bot in the middle had the speakers picked out with black. The screen was basecoated with Games Workshop Midnight Blue and highlighted with Games Workshop Enchanted Blue, Enchanted Blue mixed with white, and white.
The bases were coated with white glue and covered with fine sand. The sand was inked with burnt umber acrylic artists' ink. The edges were drybrushed with Ceramcoat Quaker Grey.
These guys came together really quickly. From start to finish, they took about two hours. These were a bit of a break from other projects and a lot of fun to paint. I'll keep them to use for one-off games and maybe to add into the dinosaurs and army men.
